Hi, I'm Edwar Ricardo.

I build software that turns ambitious ideas into real systems.

Developer focused on AI, Apple platforms, cybersecurity, and modern web experiences.

Selected Work

ChatBot for iOS

Native SwiftUI chatbot connected to OpenAI through a local Node.js proxy, keeping the API key server-side rather than embedded in the iOS binary.

Swift SwiftUI Node.js OpenAI API

TaskFlow

Full-stack productivity app with categories, priorities, due dates, filtering, and persisted task data.

Next.js React TypeScript Tailwind CSS Prisma SQLite

QuizApp

Native SwiftUI quiz app for iOS and macOS from a shared codebase — quiz creation, multiple-choice gameplay, score tracking, attempt history, local persistence, shared scoring logic in a separate package.

Swift SwiftUI SwiftPM iOS macOS

Stable Diffusion macOS Metal

Local SDXL environment for Apple Silicon using Hugging Face Diffusers and PyTorch Metal/MPS, generating images offline from terminal prompts after model download.

Python PyTorch Metal/MPS Diffusers SDXL

llama.cpp Metal on macOS 26

Reproducible setup/tooling for running GGUF models locally on Apple Silicon via upstream llama.cpp with Metal acceleration (install/build/run/troubleshoot tooling).

llama.cpp Metal CMake Hugging Face GGUF

Services

AI & Local Intelligence

AI-powered applications and local-inference integrations, including model APIs, Apple Silicon workflows, and developer-facing AI tooling.

Apple Platform Development

Native applications and developer tooling for macOS and iOS using Swift and SwiftUI, with an emphasis on thoughtful Apple-platform experiences and systems-oriented software.

Modern Web Applications

Responsive frontend and full-stack web applications built with modern JavaScript and TypeScript technologies including React and Next.js.

About

I'm a developer based in Miami, Florida, working across AI, Apple platforms, systems engineering, and modern web development.

My background started in IT and computer engineering. I earned a B.S. in Information Technology from Florida International University and an A.A. in Computer Engineering from Miami Dade College, which gave me an early interest in how software, operating systems, networks, and infrastructure fit together.

That foundation, along with hands-on technical support experience, gradually led me from troubleshooting systems to building them. My work has ranged from contributing to a collaborative Web3 hackathon project to building Swift tools, native Apple applications, local-AI environments, full-stack web applications, and systems-oriented projects such as Sentra.

Today I'm focused on becoming a stronger software developer through building real projects and going deeper into AI, Apple platforms, systems engineering, and the web.
